If you are a woman, unfortunately, you have to be significantly more careful when you drive alone at night. Depending on the area of the country that you live in, it may not even be advisable to do so. Driving at night is incredibly dangerous for a number of reasons. First of all, your visibility is greatly reduced because of how dark it is, which makes it difficult to see predators or animals in the roadway. It is also dangerous because you really have to pay more attention to your surroundings when you get into and out of your vehicle, especially in areas that are not well lit.

In light of all of this information, it is always a good idea to do most of your traveling during the day if you can help it. If you really find that you have no other choice, then try to find a driving companion. If that doesn’t work, then you simply have to be on your toes. Carry a fully charged cell phone and a list of hand-written emergency numbers should your cell phone die and you have to use a pay phone or land line. Remember, just because the majority of people in the world have cell phones doesn’t meant that cell phones don’t occasionally fail to work, forcing us to [gasp] actually have to use a payphone. Having said that, make sure you always carry some loose change (at least a couple of dollars in change) and some small bills.

I don’t think anyone will argue that we are facing one of the greatest economic challenges the world has ever had to face. Unemployment is reaching new highs all over the world. The only way for many to survive is to get innovative. Making the most of a given situation is paramount.

One example of this is the utilisation of your vehicle to make money. Many who are in possession of a van are lending themselves to the man with a van industry. For those that need items delivering, collecting or removing a man with a van is often the most logical and affordable solution compared to hiring a van for the day. We should ask ourselves one question, are we taking care of cars? The reason for this asking this question is that most of our cars get spoilt really fast because we as car owners don’t maintain tour cars properly. They don’t service them regularly, if spoilt they don’t repair them etc. This can all be avoided if we cared enough for the car. Parts such as the starter armature tend to get spoilt really fast because of constant friction and hence need regular servicing but car owners then to react late. If things go wrong they are quick we are quick to blame the mechanics and store from where we bought the parts from. We always over look our own mistakes. What we must realize is that car maintenance is very important.

Before connecting a new air cleaner, be sure to carefully inspect it. An air filter containing holes will not function properly and may allow debris to get into your engine.

When purchasing a new air cleaner for an automobile, many people find it helpful to take the old one along. This will save the time and aggravation of having to return to the store after purchasing the wrong product. Just because an air filter looks like the correct size, does not guarantee that it is. An improper fit will not allow your air filter to do its job.

Having recently bought a sports car I have invested some time finding out how to get a professional “high gloss” wax finish to the bodywork. So here are my findings and observations which should help you to get the best results.

Firstly, polishing and waxing are two different things and they should not be confused.

Polishing is the process of attaining the best finish to the paintwork prior to waxing and it involves using a “polish” which is a mild abrasive intended to remove minor burs and blemishes.

Waxing is the application of a protective and shine enhancing finish coat.

So, here are the processes that I followed and which have got me some pretty good results. Always commence the cleaning, waxing and polishing activities from the roof down and do not wash, polish or wax the car in direct sunlight.
