The time for Audi to shine in its section of the automotive industry has finally come. The RS6 is back, but this time it’s as a sedan version and it’s got the competition worried. The 2008 Avant version wasn’t exactly what most enthusiasts were looking forward to but with such an immense amount of horsepower and torque, this RS6 is seeking the title as king of sedans like never before.

What lies beneath the hood is an FSI direct injection, dry-sump lubricated, twin-turbocharged V10. All of this adds up to 580 HP @ 6,250 RPM and 479 lb-ft of torque @ 1,500 RPM. This Audi, like others, is electronically limited at 155 MPH. Unlike others though, it has an option to raise the electronic limit to 173 MPH. Before it even reaches those type of speeds though, it completes the first part, also known as the 0-60 in 4.5 seconds.

If you are currently looking for a luxury saloon car and are finding the task of narrowing your choice down from hundreds to just one, then there is a rather important bit of information I have that may be of interest to you. However, for the same money you would be able to get hold of a Maserati Quattroporte that was perhaps only a year old and had very low mileage.

How often should you change the oil in your car?

If you automatically guess 3,000 miles you could be wrong.

When I was 16 and bought my first cool car, my dad taught me to change the oil every 3,000 miles, no matter what! He taught me that because my Grandfather taught him.

But is it really necessary?

I think that the “3,000 Mile Oil Change” theory made sense years ago, but with most recent cars, 5,000 miles is probably plenty. However, there are a few vehicles that may go as high as 12,000 miles between oil changes.

Many new cars have a technology where the car actually tells the driver when to change the oil.

Cars that currently have this variable/indicator light are GM, Honda and Chrysler.
