Tips on Getting Your Car Ready to Sell Like a Pro
It amazes me how many vehicles I have went to go look at and potentially purchase that would have gotten my money if it had been properly cared for but sadly I walked away. Now many years of abuse add up quick when you go to sell your vehicle. The years of children occupying the rear area really shows through on the carpet and seats along with the years of traveling in different geographic locations showing abundantly in the wheel wells.
My purpose here is to point out a few glaringly obvious mistakes that even a semi-trained car buyer will be looking for when they come to see and hopefully purchase your used vehicle. Although I won’t be going into detail about detailing, I will be pointing out a few key areas that you may not have thought to tidy up before the sale.
Firstly, I will state the obvious things to do in preparation of selling your vehicle. Begin by washing your vehicle. While doing this note that this is not your usual rinse off wash. You need to actually get some kind of sponge that actually has some scrubbing properties and finally get all those dead bugs off of the front bumper. Do a good thorough job on this, if something needs scrubbing put in the elbow grease to actually get it off. This includes tree sap, rub marks that can usually be gotten off with soap but may need something like goo gone, those sorts of things.
Run a Car on Water Review
In 2009, one in every 150 vehicle owners in the USA run a car on water and here we review the background and benefits. In other countries like Australia and the UK, it is around one in a hundred and twenty. Pretty soon, perhaps in five years time, 50% of cars may have an HHO conversion kit.
It is to the shame of major automobile manufacturers that they are reticent, downright unwilling, to include a water unit as an option, let alone as standard. What disgusts many people is that it costs less than $140 to make one yourself, so mass produced, they would probably only amount to $60 each. That is negligible in a car costing thousands of dollars.
But, the auto makers have their own vested interests. Saving gas is not one of them. It will happen eventually. Governments are leaning heavily on them as well as consumer pressure groups. In fact, the US government has become so exasperated with them, it now offers, via the IRS, a $2,000 tax rebate direct to any consumer who fits an HHO generator to their vehicle. Good news at last!
Why Use New Leather Interiors And Tinting For Your Car
Just because your car is older, does not mean that it has to look older. Your car can get a custom look simply by getting window tinting. This is a very inexpensive cosmetic effect that you can put on your car that will make a world of difference to the car. You will have the look of a custom car for less when you go to a shop that will do quality window tinting of your car windows.
Even if you have a new car, there might be some things that you would like to change about the car. Some things like the leather interiors, for example, may not be to your liking. You may want to change them to make them more comfortable or more personalized. When you use a company that is used to doing cosmetic work on the interior and exterior of cars, you can get new leather interiors on your car.
England – Paradise For Auto Buffs
The lady who wishes to see England but is married to a couch potato who doesn’t like to travel may be able to spring him off the couch and into an airplane seat if she researches and plans her trip around the extensive automobile attractions that England has to offer. As a quick surf on Google will reveal, England has a plethora of automobile museums. However, in England they are usually referred to as motor transport museums. One very large museum with an extensive collection of over 400 cars is the Haynes International Motor Museum at Sparkford in Somerset. It houses the largest collection of the world’s greatest cars. And for traveling families, there is an adventure play area, Super Diggers, soft play bus, and a children’s activity center. The automotive display is spread over eleven themed halls including the famous Red Room in Hall Number 2. The Red Room showcases fifty red sports cars from all over the world, for example a 1981 Lamborghini Countach 400s and a 1965 AC Cobra. The first hall contains cars from birth to 1910 such as a 1900 clement 2.25hp Voiturette. Hall 5 exhibits a blend of veteran, vintage, Edwardian and classics. Here one can find a 1931 Duesenberg Model J Derham bodied Tourster and a Jaguar collection. Hall 7 is devoted to motorsport and exhibits racing cars such as the 1996 Ferrari Formula 1 Type F310(DC) and the 1926 BugatiT35B.
Consumer confidence ahead of the 59 Registration Plate
There are many factors that influence the public’s interest in the latest and best car models to come on to the market. One such factor that is occasionally overlooked is the introduction of the latest registration plates.
Reports are coming in to suggest that interest in new cars has seen quite a substantial increase leading up to the new ’59 plate’ registrations, that will be available to own from the beginning of September 09.
Consumer confidence is said to be increasing at the moment, if only in small amounts. This upturn is reflected in the housing market where house prices rose by 1.2% during May. Generally, history shows that when the housing market sees a rise in prices, very often the sales of new cars will shortly follow suit.
The property boom of recent years has led to new car sales hitting record highs. Between 2001 and 2007, there were fewer than two and a half million new car registrations issued. When the housing market took a decline in 2008, it was inevitable that the sales of cars also took a decline, with only 2.13 million being registered.
This trend carried over into 2009, with car sales dropping down to 27.9%. However, things are starting to look up and we are maybe seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Car dealers are reporting increased interest in new cars in their show rooms, so this could be indicative that the motor industry is on the rise again.

2009 Audi RS6
The time for Audi to shine in its section of the automotive industry has finally come. The RS6 is back, but this time it’s as a sedan version and it’s got the competition worried. The 2008 Avant version wasn’t exactly what most enthusiasts were looking forward to but with such an immense amount of horsepower and torque, this RS6 is seeking the title as king of sedans like never before.
What lies beneath the hood is an FSI direct injection, dry-sump lubricated, twin-turbocharged V10. All of this adds up to 580 HP @ 6,250 RPM and 479 lb-ft of torque @ 1,500 RPM. This Audi, like others, is electronically limited at 155 MPH. Unlike others though, it has an option to raise the electronic limit to 173 MPH. Before it even reaches those type of speeds though, it completes the first part, also known as the 0-60 in 4.5 seconds.
Used Maserati – It Could Be the Best Used Car You Ever Buy
If you are currently looking for a luxury saloon car and are finding the task of narrowing your choice down from hundreds to just one, then there is a rather important bit of information I have that may be of interest to you. Today’s most popular prestige saloon brand is obviously BMW, who sell thousands of units in the United Kingdom alone on an annual basis. However, if you knew of a way of trading up to a more prestigious brand whilst spending the same amount of money, most people would jump at the chance.
If you are looking to spend £50,000 on a luxury saloon, you are likely to be looking at the BMW 7 Series, which in its own right is a fantastic range of saloon cars. However, for the same money you would be able to get hold of a Maserati Quattroporte that was perhaps only a year old and had very low mileage.
Is the 3,000-Mile Oil Change Necessary Or is it Just Marketing?
How often should you change the oil in your car?
If you automatically guess 3,000 miles you could be wrong.
When I was 16 and bought my first cool car, my dad taught me to change the oil every 3,000 miles, no matter what! He taught me that because my Grandfather taught him.
But is it really necessary?
I think that the “3,000 Mile Oil Change” theory made sense years ago, but with most recent cars, 5,000 miles is probably plenty. However, there are a few vehicles that may go as high as 12,000 miles between oil changes.
Many new cars have a technology where the car actually tells the driver when to change the oil.
Cars that currently have this variable/indicator light are GM, Honda and Chrysler.
