The Jeep brand has a lofty and historic heritage, one that was came to life during the darkest hours of World War II. At that time, the US military needed a vehicle which could move its way through the French countryside, German bogs and far eastern paddy fields, thus the Jeep was born.
Since the second world war ended, Jeep has been available to the general public and it is the vehicle which gave way to the rise of sport/utility vehicles now common with virtually all automakers.
Jeep itself has survived its own turbulence having been bought and sold several times over the course of its lifetime. Willys, Kaiser and American Motors were the earliest owners of the Jeep brand followed by Chrysler Corporation, DaimlerChrysler and the all new Chrysler LLC company formed in 2007 when Chrysler was separated from its German parent, the new Daimler AG.

All the talk about Saab being sold or discontinued loses site of one thing: the automaker is still a viable, albeit small player in the world of fine European automobiles.
A case in point is the all new 9-3X Crossover, a vehicle which adds a positive light to the brand’s popular 9-3 franchise. Along with a convertible, sedan and a wagon, the 2010 Saab 9-3X Crossover completes the 9-3 line, giving Saab the right mix of vehicles in a bid to compete effectually in the tough premium small vehicle segment.
According to General Motors, the 9-3X features Saab’s respected Cross Wheel Drive (XWD) system. The XWD made its debut in the Turbo X limited edition model last year and will be combined with the fuel-efficient 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine. The 9-3X represents Saab’s “EcoPower” technology school of thought, which aims at uniting an energizing driving experience with an efficient use of resources to accomplish trustworthy performance.
The Saab 9-3X is a car in tune with the less-is-more needs of today’s customers. “The 9-3X is an efficient all-rounder for anyone who doesn’t want or need an SUV- type vehicle,” says Simon Padian, Saab Brand Design Chief. “Simply put, we are offering a trekking shoe that will do what’s required in more comfort and style than a heavier mountaineering boot.”

The recipe for the BMW X6 seems quite simple, take the mechanics, size and stature of a 4×4 and then combine it with the body shell of a coupe, which is designed to seat four people. Surely however, if you have gone through the expense of buying and running a large SUV you would expect that it could carry more people than an averaged sized hatchback. Especially when Volvo XC90 does the job of carrying seven people so well.
Nevertheless BMW believe that the X6 offers the latest evolution in sports utility vehicles combining dynamic excellence with driver enjoyment, and designed to take on rivals in the form of the Porsche Cayenne, Range Rover Sport and Mercedes ML63. However with uncertain petrol prices, high running costs and growing public antipathy towards large 4×4′s many previous SUV owners are returning to more humble hatchbacks and saloons.

The latter issues are not something faced by the consumer that is savvy enough to shop for used jeeps for sale right online. Inside the BMW X6, the driver is still afforded the lofty driving position that would be recognised by any 4×4 owner, however it is the performance and handling that provides the biggest surprise. Underneath the bonnet is a 4.4 litre V8 engine, which produces 400 bhp and is able to propel this giant of car to 60 in 5.4 seconds.

The big automotive lie of the century is E85. You can not believe this stuff.
The automotive industry has been pushing the E85 as a renewable, homwgrown alternative to gasoline. Now you will see alot of different Auto’s and SUV’s with the E85 badge on it’s trunk.
They only make cars and trucks that make them a profit. I mean, the more options and accessories they can add, the bigger the profit they stand to make.
So a vehicle that could get 100 to 150 miles to the gallon would not be put into production, because it would be made as light and as strong as it could be. So not too many options could be added to a car like this. They don’t want to make a car like this.
So change the focus of the consumer from bad fuel mileage cars and trucks, to a renewable fuel product. E85.
The three big auto makers don’t want to really make a car for the people. They make a car that the government tells them what to make. A 15 mpg truck and a 23 mpg car.
