Combining a large load capacity with MPV practicality and car-like comfort, performance and handling, the new Fiat Scudo LCV is now available for sale from various dealers.
New Scudo is available in 18 versions from launch, priced from £15,884 – £22,688 on-the-road. The new Scudo range encompasses Panel Vans, Platform Cabs as a basis for conversion, and two Commercial Passenger Vehicle variants, the 5/6 or 8/9 seat Combi and the 5/6 seat Panorama Family. The latter can also be requested with a third row seating option.

New Scudo features larger dimensions to the length, height and width of a load compartment now offering a maximum volume of 7 m3 and a payload of up to 1200 kg. The new Platform Cab range offers an increased, driver inclusive payload of up to 3000 kg.Significantly, in addition to a best-in-class load threshold height of just 490 mm, the overall height of Standard Roof versions equipped with Fiat’s innovative pneumatic suspension may be lowered to just 1.9 metres, giving Scudo access to underground and multi-storey car parks normally inaccessible to LCVs of this class.

Ford’s ECOnetic low CO2 technology is coming to the Ford Transit. On sale later this year, the new Transit ECOnetic is based on the front-wheel drive Transit 280 panel van with short wheelbase and 2.2-litre 115PS Duratorq TDCi engine. Target fuel economy is 39.2mpg, while average CO2 emissions are a best in class 189 g/km.
The Transit ECOnetic features the Durashift six-speed manual transmission (VMT-6). This offers a wider range of available gear ratios over the prior Durashift five-speed transmission, allowing better fuel economy at all speeds, while the power and torque upgrade offers rewarding performance on demand. The ’shorter’ gearing in first gear allows for improved pull-away performance, while the ‘longer’ gearing in top provides improved highway fuel economy (around 10 per cent better compared with the combined NEDC figures), with reduced engine revs for a range of speeds and loads for the standard Transit configuration.
Detail engineering for the Transit ECOnetic included reducing the availability of the heaviest options such as a second sliding door. However, all standard and optional safety and comfort features are available.

The latest Relay brings the operational and cost saving benefits of improved productivity, greater model choice, attractive pricing and premium residual values, as well as lower ABI insurance groupings and extended, up-to-25,000 mile service intervals. In addition, it takes Citroen into the 4.0 tonne gvw sector for the very first time.
Innovative design and premium engineering have enabled Citroen to offer a versatile range of new Relays that are longer, lower, bigger and better equipped than their major competitors. They are also easier to buy thanks to interest free finance, while the wide choice of over 70 models means there is a model for virtually all operational requirements in the up to 4.05 tonne gvw sector.
The new Relay range includes panel vans, window vans, combis, chassis cabs, chassis crew cabs and chassis scuttles. All models are covered by Citroen’s unique, flexible two year unlimited mileage/three year 100,000 mile warranty package, which underlines the range’s premium quality credentials.Citroen has paid particular attention to ensuring that the driver and crew of new Relay have a safer, more comfortable and practical working environment. As such, new Relay incorporates key safety features such as ABS and EBA as standard, together with the option of ESP with traction control and a Hill Start Assist function.
Variable power assisted steering is standard on most models and, recognising that a van’s day to day operation now takes places in ever more congested surroundings, new Relay has a significantly tighter turning circle than much of its competition. New Relay is designed to go further without maintenance, achieve even higher standards of fuel economy, provide the driver/crew with a comfortable and practical working environment and retain an unprecedented level of residual value.

Are you tired of high gas prices? Are you driving a gas guzzling SUV, or a similarly large sized vehicle? Many of us are already feeling the ever tightening pinch to our pocketbooks as the price of everything from food, to clothing, gets higher and higher.

If you are one of the many who are worried about whether or not you can still afford to drive your gas-guzzling SUV or larger sized vehicle, then now is the time to sell your vehicle. If you are considering selling your “tank”, as some would call it, in exchange for a more economical saver, than it is important to get the very best price possible. After all, as the price of gasoline continues to fluctuate, the value of your vehicle will continue to depreciate. You may find yourself upside down in a loan on one of these vehicles. You may find that nobody wants to buy something so large because of miles given per gallon.

A smart seller should first get all of their papers in order. If you can have documentation of the condition of your vehicle, as well as proof of what maintenance has been conducted, you will get a better price for your vehicle. You may consider purchasing a CARFAX report, which will show the history of the vehicle from the time it was first purchased, to even the very present. Another great selling strategy is to take your vehicle to a dealership and have it checked thoroughly. This service will be relatively inexpensive, considering the wealth of information that will be given to you in return.

As each day goes by, the value of these larger sized vehicles grows smaller and smaller. More people are selling off their SUV’s and V-8’s in exchange for small, economic gas savers. The longer you wait to sell your gas guzzler, the less likely it will be that someone will want to buy it at all. Let’s also not forget, that the longer you wait to sell your vehicle, the more it depreciates in value!

Nobody knows how the oil industry will pan out its prices this next year, but there is some certainty in the market for larger sized vehicles. Not too many people will be buying them, because of the uncertainty of the economy and the non-dependable gas prices. In anticipation of this decrease, some of the major car manufacturers such as GMC and Ford have already shut down some of their larger sized production factories where they have laid off thousands of employees. They know that what the future holds for their organization does not look promising. In the meantime, foreign car manufacturers such as Toyota and Hyundai are experiencing an increase in vehicle production as the demand for smaller vehicles continues to rise.

This Government has vowed to work with GM to bring them through these difficult times. But we can only wait and see.

The new Ford Endeavour flaunts a spacious cabin and offers world-class comfort to its passengers. With a cutting-edge theft protection system and advanced active and passive features, Ford Endeavour proves to be a safe haven for the people riding in it. All these make the SUV a worthwhile investment. A product of Ford India, the automobile offers its consumers the complete satisfaction of riding in a luxury SUV. The versatile 7-seater Endeavour has a commanding road presence. It flaunts a spacious cabin and offers world-class comfort to its passengers. With a cutting-edge theft protection system and advanced active and passive features, Ford Endeavour proves to be a safe haven for the people riding in it. All these make the SUV a worthwhile investment.

At the heart of Ford Endeavour lies a 2.5 L turbocharged diesel engine, which churns out a power of 114 PS @ 3500 rpm and maximum torque of 285 Nm @ 2000 rpm. Endeavour is available in both, two-wheel (2WD) and four-wheel drives (4WD). The 2WD is perfectly suitable for driving on city roads and highways, whereas the 4WD is designed to offer a comfortable ride on rugged terrain.

The sporty stance of Ford Endeavour is enhanced by an aggressive fascia, with a huge bonnet, multi-reflector headlamps and a big front grille. Mud flaps and a fashionable roof rail are other elements contributing to the appeal of its exteriors. Silver sides-steps further accentuate the well-built quality of Endeavour’s imposing design. The seven-seater vehicle has three rows of seats, offering equal comfort for all its occupants.

The huge tyres and rigid chassis of Ford Endeavour absorb all the bumps that take place during the course of driving. Handling is reasonably well, especially when the vehicle takes tight corners. Its steering wheels are power assisted and offer great responsiveness.

Ford Endeavour is fully loaded with advanced safety features, which include dual airbags for driver and co-driver, individual seat belts in all the seating positions, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), side-door intrusion beams, collapsible steering column, childproof rear door locks and fuel tank shields. Apart from this, the car also features Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS), which prevents the engine from being started with an incorrectly coded key, by automatically cutting off the supply of fuel to the fuel injection system after two seconds.

The interiors of Ford Endeavour are roomy and elegant, sporting luxurious leather upholstery. The instrument cluster is very trendy. Endeavour comes equipped with an in-car DVD system, with roof-mounted screen and an audio system incorporating six-stack CD changer and MP3 player. All the three rows have AC ducts, which enables the rear seat passengers to set the temperature as per their convenience. The fifth door mirror of Endeavour becomes very useful while parking or reversing.

Ford Endeavour is available in three variants – TDCi, 4×2 (Diesel) and 4×4 (Diesel). It comes in a wide range of dazzling colors, such as Brush Steel, Mystic Wine, Panther Black, Diamond White and Jeans Blue. The price of this SUV ranges from Rs. 14.70 lakh to Rs. 15.62 lakh.

The Ford Torino was launched in 1968 as part of the Ford Fairlane family. Fairlane sales were falling and Ford decided that putting a new name on the same quality car would help sales. This decision proved to be correct with great sales for the Ford Torino and ultimately it would replace the Ford Fairlane with an updated brand of beauty, power and styling.

The production of the Ford Torino would run from 1968 through to 1976. The initial Torino was a larger vehicle than the Ford Fairlane in the previous year. The roofline for the fastback was a whole new concept for the Fairlane stable as well as the new two door hardtop.

Right from the start the Torino was built with plenty of power and comfort in mind. The V8 engines came as standard starting with the small block 302 up to the big block 390 and 428 Cobra Jet launched in 1969. Initially the 1968 Torino was available in the two door fastback, two or four door hardtop, station wagon and two door convertible.

The Torino GT was the upgraded Torino in 1968 with standard body decal stripe, styled steel wheels, wide oval sports tires and standard equipment v-8 engine. These were available with manual four speed gearbox.

The body styling saw a complete change for 1970 and 1971with a lower, wider and longer body. The Ford Torino in 1970 also saw the introduction of the 351 engines in the Torino as well as the 429 with 360 BHP.

The Ford Torino GT was also now available with a Hurst four speed manual gearbox, rear window sports slats, ribbon style tachometer, three spoke steering wheel, high back bucket seats and 15 inch magnum 500 chrome wheels. In addition the Ford Torino GT also now had the option of hideaway headlights and the side stripes were redesigned in multiple colors but only as an option.

Again in 1972 the Ford Torino was restyled with the front fenders with a more rounded profile. The rear bumper was much bigger and now housed the rear taillight units. The front grille was also redesigned and resembled the Cobra. The two door fastback now had a lower roofline whilst the roofline of the four door hardtop was now much rounder.

In 1975 the Ford Torino saw changes to the standard equipment package. The changes included power steering fitted as standard.

The 1976 model year saw no major changes to the Torino line-up in fact the biggest change was the discontinuation of the Gran Torino Sport. The optional extras included a power trunk release, automatic parking brake release and opera windows and landau roofs were now available as optional extras for all 2-door models.

The Ford Torino is perhaps best known for its appearance on the popular TV series Starsky & Hutch and more recently the Clint Eastwood film Gran Torino.
