The distinctive loud, long tone of a locomotive’s warning signal is among the most easily recognizable sounds around. Play a tape with a bunch of two-second sound snippets and most people will be able to easily identify which is the whistle of a locomotive. For many people it is also a trigger for fond memories, especially if they grew up near a station or the railroad tracks. Imagine that same strikingly loud sound coming from your pickup or SUV and there isn’t a rail road in sight. All you need to do to make that dream a reality is take a look at the many train horns for trucks that are available as an aftermarket accessory.
The loud wail of an approaching locomotive was developed to alert pedestrians and motorists that they needed to stay off the tracks so the train could pass without hitting anyone or anything. It was also used as a communication tool between the engineer and railway and station workers. The first whistles were powered by the steam engine’s exhaust. However, as diesel engines began to replace steam the high-powered air horn became the device of choice.

You can find a great number of trucks on the market, but you’ll be up to save a lot of money if you buy something second-hand, whether it is through a dealership or privately. Of course, you do take a heightened risk if you buy second-hand, but this can typically be lessened if you go through a decent dealership. You may also get some warranty and you will not have to worry so much about doing so much research into buying a truck.
It is very important to make sure that you thoroughly inspected the vehicle and make sure that none of the dashboard cages have been messed with. One of the most important issues is the mileage, proof of which can be backed up by the service invoices amongst a number of other things. Make sure that you check the vehicle in clear weather where you can see everything clearly.

If you have a truck, investing in a good tonneau cover is a must. Not only are they extremely helpful and useful in any situation, they also provide many great benefits. No matter what you haul in your truck, a tonneau cover will keep a lid on all of it. It will cover and protect your cargo from all kinds of weather. Most of them have conveniently placed seals that will keep water away from your cargo. When it comes down to it, a truck tonneau cover is completely water tight, so you won’t have to worry about any water whatsoever getting in your truck bed.
Likewise, you won’t have to worry about snow getting through either with a truck tonneau cover. It won’t rust or freeze at all. It also holds up well during hot, dry weather. Truck tonneau covers will keep the heat and humidity away from your gear. You won’t have to ever worry about any weather or element causing damage or rust to your tonneau cover, as it will be strong and durable enough to withstand practically anything.

The resale value of a used truck helps to offset the cost of the truck by ensuring that you will receive a portion of your total costs back when it comes time for you to sell your used truck.
Here are a few things that you need to think about when considering the resale value of a truck:
Value varies based on models and features
The resale value of used trucks can vary a great deal depending on the model of the truck and on the type of truck. For example, one model by one manufacturer may have a traditionally higher resale value than a different model by another manufacturer. The Canadian Black Book can help to give you some insights into the projected resale value of the used trucks that you are considering for purchase. Also, a dealer can give you some insight as well.
